We are proud to announce the expansion of the INTERCEPTOR project with the addition of five outstanding Associated Partners, each bringing unique strengths to enhance our collective mission in pandemic preparedness and high-containment research.
🌍 These new partners strengthen our international network and reinforce our shared commitment to improving global response capabilities to high-risk pathogens. Please join us in welcoming:
🔹 VIDO – University of Saskatchewan (Canada)
A global leader in infectious disease research and vaccine development, VIDO is expanding into BSL-4 capabilities and brings critical expertise in high-containment animal research and translational science.
🔹 University of Pécs (Hungary)
Home to Central and Eastern Europe’s only BSL-4 lab, UP contributes cutting-edge infrastructure and a strong research focus on emerging zoonotic diseases like Nipah and CCHFV.
🔹 NUSMed BSL-3 – National University of Singapore
Singapore’s largest high-containment facility supports regional and international research, training, and diagnostics. Its upgrade includes a unique robotic automation platform for advanced pathogen studies.
🔹 A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (Singapore)
Established in response to COVID-19, A*STAR IDL unites interdisciplinary expertise and state-of-the-art BSL-3 facilities to tackle emerging epidemics and strengthen global health resilience.
🔹 TIDREC – Universiti Malaya (Malaysia)
The only academic BSL-3 centre in Malaysia outside of government bodies, TIDREC operates modular and mobile high-biocontainment labs and provides vital training and research access on highly pathogenic agents.
With these new collaborations, INTERCEPTOR becomes even better equipped to meet its goal: enhancing global pandemic preparedness through coordinated, high-level containment laboratory research.
🔬🤝 Welcome aboard, partners—we’re thrilled to work with you!
